An underground mystery, our very own ghost in The Blue Lady, and (because we want some real Halloween atmosphere) maybe some cobwebs. The Shell Grotto has been the spookiest place in Margate since 1835.
For Halloween half term holiday, we’re open every day from 10am-5pm. You’ll find all our usual spookiness, and an activity sheet for children too. Design us a spooky pumpkin, and the best one will win a year-long family entry to the Grotto. Plus you can try making the Grotto extra spooky with some shadows on the wall and a little whispering game. We’ll have our haunted postbox out too, so you can leave a message for our Owls to deliver, Harry Potter style.
See you for Half term week – and do feel free to dress for the occasion, like these ladies!
